You are absolutely right about our yout...Hi James!

You are absolutely right about our youth in today’s society, even our “Christian” youth lack a real “fear of the Lord”. Many don’t have a healthy respect for their own parents, or any authority figure.

I believe that much of the responsibility rests upon parents. It is about priorities. It is about living for Jesus in obedience to His Word. If parents aren’t living it, the child won’t either. If parents don’t take it upon themselves to raise up their children in the faith, who will?

Years ago when I was a Sunday school teacher, I was amazed to see that the only Bible instruction children received was in the Sunday school class. How sad that parents don’t realize that the responsibility is primarily theirs. How sad to see that they don’t count it a privilege or a blessing to do so.

So herein lies the problem, many of our “Christian” families are not walking the walk. Thus our children are being raised no different from the rest of society. No walk, no real relationship with the Lord, no witness for the lost, no compassion for the lost and a whole society is lost.

I would encourage every “Christian” family to rethink their relationship with the Lord. Our priority should be God first, our faith and walks, our children, family and friends.
Maintaining a right relationship with God will have an enormous effect on the world around us.

Blessings,
A.M.
